Word Bible Church in Mesa, Arizona celebrated the opening of their
new Monolithic Dome facility this past summer, 2001. Monolithic's
Architect Rick Crandall, who assisted with the move-in, said, "For
their opening services, they completely filled their 860 parking lot
spaces and every available roadside spot. It's interesting to note
that most of the neighbors -- significant numbers -- who first opposed
the domes have done a 180-degree turn-around. All the skepticism is
gone, and they feel totally different now that the domes are completed.
The church and their neighbors are very happy with the domes." Living
Word built three 150-foot diameter domes connected by a central core.
The facility includes a 2000-seat sanctuary, a castle-themed children's
dome, a bookstore, a cafe and offices. |
